Day 1,Arrival at BIA and transfer to Wilpattu,Relax

Wilpattu is excellent for leopards and sloth bears.

Day 2,Full day jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park

This provides the best chance for sightings in this large park.

Day 3,Transfer to Habarana and afternoon Jeep safari for elephants

Minneriya or Kaudulla, famous for the ""Gathering"" of elephants (seasonal)

Day 4,Transfer to Gal Oya and relax

Evening bush walk and experience with Vedda people,"Relax, Bush Walk, Cultural Experience. Gal Oya is remote and offers a unique cultural and nature experience.

Day 5,Gal Oya Boat Safari - afternoon jeep safari,"Boat Safari

The boat safari is unique for potentially seeing elephants swimming between islands!

Day 6,Transfer to Kumana and afternoon jeep safari

Kumana is the eastern side of the larger Yala area, known for its superb birdlife.

Day 7,Transfer to Yala - afternoon Bundala jeep safari

Bundala is a Ramsar wetland site, excellent for migratory and aquatic birds, and a great contrast to Yala's block safaris.

Day 8,Yala Full day safari

Yala is the most popular for leopard sightings. A full day gives you maximum opportunity.

Day 9,Transfer to Galle and relax

A much-needed shorter, scenic transfer day to a coastal cultural hub.

Day 10,Colombo and departure

Transfer to BIA, Ensure you allow ample time for the transfer and airport check-in. You could also spend a few hours in Colombo if time permits.
